Birthday Trip to Greece – Mother & Daughter: Athens, Crete, Santorini & Mainland
We had a wonderful time in Greece, including a visit to Clumsies, the night before we left. Many thanks for all of Madeleine’s efforts on our behalf. Greek Experience Travel designed, organized and coordinated a phenomenal and memorable trip to Greece. The outstanding service started with listening to what I wanted from the trip and coming up with initial details that were responsive and then making minor adjustments based on my feedback. Everything was top quality including the special touch of having a birthday cake sent to the local restaurant where we went (based on Madeleine’s suggestion) to celebrate my daughter’s birthday where we had some of the best Greek food during our two-week trip.
Just about everything about the trip was memorable and enjoyable. We loved our time in Crete, where our travel agency arranged a walking tour, cooking class, and beach trip, all with wonderful drivers and guides. And of course, the special efforts they made to make my daughter’s 30th birthday a special and memorable one were very much appreciated.
Our hotels were always centrally located, which made it easy for us to wander around and explore on our own. From our hotel balcony in Santorini, we had an incredible view of the beautiful sunsets for which the island is known.
I can’t think of anything I would do differently. The trip was perfectly placed, including our travel company not scheduling anything on our arrival day. Because our hotel in Athens was centrally located, we were able to wander around and explore on our own.
